How to Create a Return Label
During Label Creation
- Create a new shipping label as usual
- Check the Create Return Label box
- A return label is automatically generated with the same carrier and service level
From an Existing Order or Label
- Go to the Orders or Labels page
- Find the shipment and click the three dots in the Actions column
- Select Create Return Label
You can also open any order or label detail page and click Create Return Label directly.
Return labels always use the same carrier and service class as the original shipment.
Fulfilling a Return
- Download the return label PDF from the order or label details
- Send it to the customer via email
- Once the customer ships the package, tracking updates appear in the order’s Returns section
Managing Return Labels
Return labels appear alongside the original shipment in your Labels and Orders pages. You can track their status, view costs, and void unused return labels just like any other label.
SimpliSent does not currently support international return labels. Customers outside the U.S. will need to arrange their own return shipping. You can provide your domestic return address or offer a refund without return for low-value items.
